Meet Marian Matthews.
Marian Matthews is a veteran attorney and the current state representative for House District 27 in Northeast Albuquerque. Her career has been spent in two places that matter to the people she serves: the courtroom and the legislature.
For decades, Marian has fought for the people the system too often overlooks. In the 1970s, she represented New Mexico schoolchildren in a years-long lawsuit against the state on behalf of kids with special needs. She has worked for PB&J Family Services, a child abuse prevention program, and litigated on behalf of children, families, and vulnerable New Mexicans throughout her career.
In the legislature, Marian has carried meaningful bills on public safety, healthcare access, and senior protections. She serves on the Commerce and Economic Development Committee, fighting for small business growth, workforce development, and the kind of practical infrastructure investment that makes New Mexico competitive.
She is running because the work is not finished. The Trump regime is moving fast, and New Mexico needs a representative who knows how to hit back, not hope for the best.
